Raymundus Martini – 1270 CE
Raymundus Martini, a Spanish monk of the Dominican order, first rendered the divine word as “Jehova.” This word appeared in his book Pugeo Fidei, published in 1270 C.E.—over 700 years ago. This does not prove God’s name. It proves that Raymundus Martini used the word “Jehovah” in his book. QUESTION Was it Raymundus Martini who invented the word “Jehovah” over 750 years ago?
William Tyndale – 1530 CE
10:15 According to Jehovah’s witnesses publications, it was Raymond Martini who first started using the word “Jehova” in 1270 CE, which is 260 years before William Tyndale did it in 1530 CE. Why does Geoffrey Jackson only mention that the word Iehouah was first used in English by William Tyndale in 1530 CE and not also that Raymundus Martini used the word “Jehova” in 1270 CE?
